Stop Taking Yourself Out of Life

~~STOP taking yourself out of the LIFE you want most~~

Most of us take our own health for granted, focusing instead on the well being of our families. Then before we know it, bam, some bad health hits us and then we think!!!!!
The key sentence to this paragraph is
"Accept that caring for yourself is NOT a selfish thing...it's a have-to-do-thing!"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Americana's health-one in three adults is obese, one in four get NO exercise, three in four eat fewer than 5 fruits and veggies a day-the rapid rise of caring for yourself is a MUST thing to do!
Even when we want to change our lifestyle, the goals can be very DIFFICULT to achieve. When someone knows and cares about your plans, you're more likely to follow through.
Having others along the way to help you, keeps you honest and accountable with yourself! We develop these unrealistic goals that seem so unreachable, we put so much on ourselves that we are spread so thin, there is no time left to reach those goals. We must find a reasonable starting point for our Better life, "instead of losing 40 pounds, exercise an hour each day, and giving up sugar totally, we need to break it down into reachable goals " start with a small time for "ME" mediation and prayer in the morning, slowing cutting a bit of sugar at a time and then a walk in the evening to help your health and clear your mind.
YOU can make a difference! Your changes can make a ripple effect when they see you changing for the better. When people make changes connected to what they care about, their values and personal vision-those Changes are more likely to last!!
So Today!! Put yourself back in your LIFE, Say to yourself "I feel like everything in my life will change because i want a better life for ME."
That is why I am writing this blog each day, to help me!! I want all that I can to change my life, my health and make me happy!

It is our attitude that makes us feel so Happy and Unhappy! Spend a few minutes each day thinking about the things that can make you happy!! These few moments will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will lead to a more wanted life for you!
**Don't FORGET-YOU Deserve Happiness**

Power Food For The Day

Olive Oil

Why it's healthy
Full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fat (10 g per tablespoon), which lower "bad" LDL cholesterol and raise "good" HDL cholesterol, and polyphenol antioxidants, which fight cancer and heart disease.
How to buy
Choose a size you'll use within 2 months As the container empties, it fills with oxygen; the olive oil starts to oxidize, or deteriorate, and eventually tastes stale, like wet cardboard.

Opt for dark glass It protects the olive oil from light, another source of flavor-sapping oxidation.

Splurge for taste Buy extra virgin if you want to emphasize the oil's flavor, as in dressings or marinades; use pure for sauteing or stir-frying.

Insider advice
Store opened bottles in a dark, cool place, such as the back of a pantry or your fridge--though oil stored there may cloud, it will clear at room temperature.
Prevention's picks for taste:
Extra virgin: Trader Joe's Australian ($7 for 17 oz)
Pure: Bertolli Classico ($9 for 17 oz)
Light: Pompeian Extra Light ($6 for 16 oz

Bible Verse-
"Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer." Psalm 6:8-9

Don't Wait for your mood to change, take action despite it!

Life, taking action to despite it! Wow what powerful words, don't you think??

It is about living life with our arms wide open, living like kids again, so we can embrace new ideas, rather than closing ourselves off. Growing, having you done that lately just for you, I know I have NOT just for me!!

"Quote I found- Takers may eat well, but GIVERS sleep well." What have you given back lately just to make YOU feel better??

So let's talk about moods?
What puts you in a good mood, well for me lately, my health, if I can feel good, I am in a pretty good mood, that is the reason for this ME outlook on 2010!!

So Let's talk about Color Moods

How do colors affect our moods?
Color, without our realizing it, can have a profound effect on how we feel both mentally and physically. Dr. Morton Walker, in his book The Power of Color, suggested that the ancient Egyptians as well as the Native American Indians used color and colored light to heal. Below are some emotional associations that humans tend to have with certain colors. These are important to keep in mind in order to create the mood you are seeking

Blue Blue represents peace, tranquility, calm, stability, harmony, unity, trust, truth, confidence, conservatism, security, cleanliness, order, loyalty, sky, water, cold, technology, and depression.
Blue can "slow the pulse rate, lower body temperature, and reduce appetite." Blue is considered a business color because it reflects reliability.

***************************************

Black is the absence of light and therefore, of color.
It represents power, sexuality, sophistication, formality, elegance, wealth, mystery, fear, evil, anonymity, unhappiness, depth, style, evil, sadness, remorse, anger, underground, good technical color, mourning and death.

In speech we say "Don't let a black cat cross your path", "Black Market" or "Black Monday".

*************************************

Green, one of most-often cited favorite colors. It represents nature, environment, health, good luck, renewal, youth, vigor, spring, generosity, fertility, jealousy, inexperience, envy, misfortune.
"Its cool quality soothes, calms, and has great healing powers." It is often worn in operating rooms by surgeons.

***************************************

Red is the color that we pay the most attention to. It is the warmest and most energic color in the spectrum.
We associate red with love, valentines, danger, desire, speed, strength, violence, anger, emergency exit signs, stop signs and blood.
Red can evoke a fight-or-flight response, raise blood pressure and make the heart beat faster.

***********************************

White is what we see when all colors come together in perfect balance.
It represents reverence, purity, simplicity, cleanliness, peace, humility, precision, innocence, youth, birth, winter, snow, good, sterility, and marriage.
We use white in figures of speech like "pure as the driven snow" or "a white lie." We associate white with the good guy in old western movies.

*****************************************

Yellow represents joy, happiness, optimism, idealism, imagination, hope, sunshine, summer, gold, philosophy, dishonesty, cowardice, betrayal, jealousy, covetousness, deceit, illness, hazard, spirtuality and inspiration.
The yellow rose is a symbol of friendship, less passionate or threatening than red ones.

***************************************

Pink is thought to have a calming effect. One shade known as "drunk-tank pink" is sometimes used in prisons to calm inmates. Sports teams sometimes paint the opposing teams locker room pink to keep the players passive and less energetic.
While pink's calming effect has been demonstrated, researchers of color psychology have found that this effect only occurs during the initial exposure to the color.
So as you can see colors truly effect the way you feel, I know I am a black wearer due to my weight and I guess not wanting to stand out, I know someone else that loves Black too, we are going to work on color for the both of us this year! :)
Wow so what is my color for the day, I will let you know later!!

Power TIP for the Day- A power food we must eat is Asparagus
If you love asparagus, you'll really love that it's a nonstarchy vegetable with only 5 grams of carb per serving and nearly 2 grams of dietary fiber. It is also high in the B vitamin folate, vitamin C, and a health-promoting antioxidant called glutathione, says Jeannette Jordan, MS, RD, CDE, a Charleston, South Carolina-based registered dietitian and advisory board member for Diabetic Living. Glutathione may help boost the immune system and promote lung health by protecting against viruses.
The cardiovascular benefits of folate and other B vitamins have been studied in relation to homocysteine, an amino acid in the blood that has been linked to a higher risk of coronary heart disease. The American Heart Association recommends including foods containing folate and other B vitamins in your diet to help lower homocysteine levels.
So Tomorrow that is on my menu, Blessings till we meet again~ Lisa
